Careers Unlocked - A Huge Success!

The Careers Unlocked jobs fair held in Bradford City Hall last week was a huge success, attracting more than 400 attendees.  Hosted by SkillsHouse, Bradford Council’s employability and skills service, the event brought together a number of education providers, employers and other organisations to talk to the public about careers and jobs in the public and professional sector.

As well as being able to discuss their potential career pathways, those attending had the opportunity to attend workshops on topics such as Working in Care and Applying for Roles in the Civil Service.  SkillsHouse also hosted a ‘Job Shop’, where advisers were on hand to help with CV writing, interview skills and applying for jobs.

Feedback from attendees was incredibly positive, with 95% rating the event either 4 or 5 stars, and the organisations who had a stall were pleased with the day – “Thank you to you and your team for organising the event, which ran so smoothly. The attendance was brilliant and we had lots if interest from people wanting to work in social care”.
