A Successful Apprenticeships Unlocked Event!
Despite the snowy weather trying to dampen the mood, over 300 visitors braved the cold to attend this year's Apprenticeships Unlocked event.
Organised by a partnership of local colleges and the Council, the event allowed people to chat directly to employers about the apprenticeships they offer and find out more about what colleges in the local area can do to help people start a new career as an apprentice.
Careers Advisers from SkillsHouse were also in attendance, giving advice and guidance to anyone who was unsure about their next steps, and were able to signpost to the most relevant employers and training providers there.
Although the weather did eventually win with the event having to close slightly early, it was agreed that Apprenticeships Unlocked was another great success and will hopefully continue to be a fixture of National Apprenticeship Week in the coming years.
